Norm here has lost more coin in the casinos than Michael J. Fox to a parking meter…

Hello to those who read these posts. I haven’t been as diligent as I would like to be, and that’s unfortunate. I’ll try and remedy that. First off, I hate people who complain about people who complain about people on the internet. Really? You really have to point out how stupid people are ONLINE? Enough said. Secondly there’s an old saying from where I come from, “when life gives you lemons, take everything those lemons own, throw them into a labor camp and then throw them into a furnace when they’ve out-lived their usefulness” kind of long-winded I know, but the underlying message has something for everyone. But to rap serious for a second, changes are coming and I don’t mean my uncle Lance coming out of the closet. No, I’m talking life changes to yours truly. For the past little while since my birthday party a lot of stuff has been rattling around in my head regarding my future, certain people in my life, financial crap. Recently I have been offered two jobs outside of the province, the temptation to go may just be the urge to run away from problems and try to start out from scratch in a new city. Who knows? Anyway enough of this crap. A funny story then, let’s see….Ah two days ago I was informed by my grandmother that black people cannot be trusted and that if Obama was elected president the floodgate of African immigration would be unleashed. Yeah, nothing’s funnier than a racist old lady. And by-the-by I cleaned that up, she used the ‘n’ word quite liberally.

Loose cannon? Rocking the boat? Am I mixing my metaphors?

Ok recap, it’s been just over a week since I returned from PAX. I still can’t get over that in point of fact. Had my birthday last wednesday and the shindig this past saturday which was a lot of fun. Came along with some question marks but all the same fun was had by all. There really isn’t a lot to report other than that. Pics are up on facebook for those that have me added there.

All we want to do is eat your brains, we’re not unreasonable, I mean no one’s gonna eat your eyes…

So PAX….in one word…AMAZING. I have never been more comfortable in my nerdom than I was this weekend, it’s definitely a venue I plan to go to next year. It was just that fantastic. I got to meet Felicia Day which was beyond awesome got to play some games that are not yet out and got lots of free swag. There are some venues and panels I wish I had gone to but I honestly don’t have too many regrets about it as it was my first PAX.

So I didn’t get a chance to go to the concert at PAX on the friday which had Jonathan Coulton and Freezepop which is too bad but I found this video of this awesome duet of Felicia Day and Jonathan Coulton singing “Still Alive” from Portal, enjoy!
